SWOG has made its active presence in the different international conferences and forums. The main includes Social Summit Copenhegan 1995, Global Youth Conference 1995 California, World Food Summit, Rome 1996, Regional workshop on Food Summit, Rome 1996, Regional workshop on Food Security Calcutta 1999, Social Summit 5 years later Kathmandu 2000, World Food Summit 5 years later in Rome 2001, INB 6 Geneva & Asia Pacific food security Beijing in 2004.

A promoter of NGO movement in Nepal:
SWOG since it establishment is dedicating itself in the NGO movement of Nepal. This organization is also the founding member of the NGO Federation of Nepal. The federation has now emerged as a  largest and only one  NGO network in Nepal. Rt. Hon`ble the Prime Minister of Nepal has recently awarded appreciation certificate to the chairperson Mr.Shanta lall Mulmi recognising his hard effort in the founding of the NFN.
